I'm Passionate About Teaching Preschool!
Hi! I'm Miss Karla, and for as long as I can remember, I've always wanted to be a teacher. I grew up in Las Vegas, NV. I married my husband in 2010. He is in the Coast Guard. We have lived in Guam, Florida, California, and now Virginia. We have two beautiful children together, Landon and Lena. I have taught in some aspect almost my whole life. I began teaching at the age of 12, teaching dance at my local dance studio and Sunday school at my church. I have continued teaching throughout my adult life everywhere we have moved. I've taught dance, Sunday school, classes at local preschools, as well as crafting classes. I attended a select high school called TEACH Academy at Clark High School, here I learned how to be a teacher and even took college courses. And I am currently enrolled at Post University to earn my degree in Early Childhood Education!
I am CPR/ First Aid certified.

Your Child Will Develop ALL the Skills Needed for Success!
The preschool program is self-contained with an emphasis on learning through purposeful play. Children’s social interaction with each other is encouraged through free play activities. Opportunities to dress-up, build, and play house provide a chance for children to share, take turns, and use their imaginations to role play and create. Fine motor skills such as cutting, gluing, painting, drawing, and tracing are practiced and promoted through daily art activities. What a great way to learn colors and shapes! Daily music and story time reinforce memory, focusing, and listening skills. Finger-plays, songs, and stories emphasize letters, numbers, seasons, and holidays. Each day, weather permitting, children play outside. Climbing, running, jumping, and learning to pump on swings are just a few of the gross motor skills that are encouraged. On rainy days, our students enjoy marching, dancing, and playing rhythm instruments inside the classroom.

What is your health and safety policy?
We follow all local guidelines, including our 24-hour sickness policy (your child must be clear of the following symptoms for 24 hours before returning to school: fever, vomiting, and/or diarrhea).
Do I have to buy school supplies or pay for field trips?
No. All school supplies will be provided. All you need to provide is a backpack. I try to make events and field trips as low cost as possible or even free for your entire family!
Can I take a tour first?
Yes! We would love to give you a tour of our preschool. During the tour, we'll tell you all about us. At the end, we'll ask: "Would you like your child to come to our preschool?" If so, that's when we'll have you fill out the registration form and we'll collect the registration fee. Please call us to schedule a tour.
When does preschool start? Can I enroll mid-year?
Our school year runs Sept.-June (10 months). If we have spots available, you can enroll mid-year. Please call us to see if we have any spots available.
